Split PDF & Extract Pages

Four ways to split

  • Extract pages — select pages by clicking their previews or by typing 1-3, 7, 10-. They're saved as one new PDF in the order you typed, so 5, 1-4 also moves page 5 to the front.
  • Split by ranges — each range becomes its own file: 1-4, 5-9, 10- gives three PDFs. Good for separating chapters or invoices that were scanned together.
  • Every N pages — cut the document into equal parts, for example every 2 pages for double-sided forms.
  • One file per page — every page as its own PDF.

Range syntax: 7 is one page, 2-5 a range, 10- runs to the end, -3 starts at page 1, and odd/even select alternating pages. Multiple files download individually or together as a ZIP.

Quality

Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so text stays sharp and selectable and the files are no larger than needed. Resources shared between pages (fonts, images) are only included in a part if its pages use them.

Password-protected files work too: you're asked for the password, the file is unlocked in your browser, and the result is saved without a password. Files that only restrict printing or copying are opened automatically.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Splitting runs with JavaScript and WebAssembly running in your browser tab. Your files are read from your device and the results are created on your device; nothing is sent to gratistools.be or anyone else, which is also why there are no queues, daily limits or watermarks. See the privacy page.
