Text you paste into the tools

Comparisons, formatting and conversions are done by JavaScript running on your device. The content you paste or load from a file is not transmitted to us or anyone else. Your browser may remember tool settings (such as "ignore whitespace") in its local storage; these contain none of your text.

Online lookups

A few tools look something up online, and say so on the page. Only the value you look up is sent, never your files:

Our server does not store or log these values. Answers are cached for a short time (5 minutes to 6 hours) to limit requests to these services.

Accounts and saved comparisons

If you choose Continue with Google, Google tells us your account ID, email address and name. We use them only to identify your account and show who is signed in. When you save a comparison we store its name, the two texts and the options, linked to your account, so you can reopen it. Saved items are private to your account.

A session cookie (lb_sid, HttpOnly) keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and a second cookie (lb_li) tells the page you are signed in. Both are strictly necessary for the sign-in you requested and are removed when you sign out.

Legal basis: performance of the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can delete individual items, or your whole account and everything in it, at any time from the Saved comparisons page. Deletion is immediate.

What this browser keeps (no account needed)

To make repeat visits faster, the site keeps a small workspace in your browser's local storage: tools you pinned, which tools you recently used successfully and what you did (for example "JSON formatted" or "CODA exported to CSV" — never the content), saved flows (lists of steps and settings), tool settings such as indentation or CSV separator, and a few dates used to decide when to suggest installing the app. Tool input and files are not kept, except when you press Save on this device: that item is stored in your browser's IndexedDB until you delete it. Everything is listed, exportable and removable on Your workspace, which also has a button to clear it all. Offline copies of pages you opened are kept by the browser's service worker; they contain no personal data.

Sync (optional)

If you are signed in and turn on sync on Your workspace, your pinned tools, tool settings, flows and the list of recently used tools (tool names and actions only) are stored in your account so they follow you across devices. Signing in alone does not upload anything. Items saved on this device and tool input are never synced. You can turn sync off at any time, and delete the copy in your account with one click; deleting your account removes it too. Legal basis: performance of the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Usage statistics

To learn which tools are useful, the pages send small anonymous events such as "tool opened", "tool used successfully", "result copied" or "tool pinned", together with the tool name. Some events carry a coarse detail from a fixed list — for example the kind of value recognised by smart paste ("VAT number", never the number itself) or the tool you came from when moving to a next step. Analytics writes nothing to cookies, local storage or session storage and does not create a visitor identifier or retention profile. The server rejects anything outside the fixed list and stores only daily aggregate totals. The normal web request necessarily reaches Cloudflare with technical connection data such as an IP address; that data is used for delivery, abuse prevention and rate limiting and is not stored with the analytics totals. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting and logs

The site runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc. and its affiliates), which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Saved comparisons are stored in Cloudflare's database service. Cloudflare acts as our processor; data may be processed outside the EU under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, or request a copy, by emailing us. You can also lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority — in Belgium, the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données.
